Dinah

Westmoreland, NH

During the year 1794, the town of Westmoreland, NH, paid Ezekiel Woodard on three occasions for the support of a pauper known as “black Dinah.”  Payments included 2 pounds 14 shillings in March 1794 and six pounds 10 shillings in September 1794.  In August of that year, Caleb Aldrich Jr. was reimbursed 18/9 for a ‘town book and baise for Dinah”.
